In the last five years, eCommerce has recorded unprecedented growth in terms of sales volume achieved by the operators and various disruptive innovation created in the consumable and non-consumable sections. The e-retail section of the Nigeria’s retail sector started with the movement of the non-consumable businesses to electronic shopping outlets before the railroad Iof grocery stores. A recent report by Mckinsey reveals that Africa would generate $75 billion from eCommerce sales by 2025 with Nigeria having relative share. In West Africa, all the 16 countries in the region are expected to garner 10 per cent valued at $13 billion. By 2018, eCommerce is projected to contribute about 10 per cent equivalent to N2.5 trillion.
