Dele Momodu, one of the Nigerian leading entrepreneurs, has called for the creation of more entrepreneurs in order to get rid of the present economic challenges facing the country. According to the media entrepreneur, Nigeria needs to create thousands of new entrepreneurs in order to get out of the present economic quagmire that has made it impossible for too many Nigerians to have jobs. He made this known in his weekly column on one of the national newspapers.
He noted that Dr Tony Elumelu’s initiative of equipping aspiring African entrepreneurs with various business skills is a right step to the actualization of rapid entrepreneurship development in the country. “For me, this is a great news. The creation, development, nurturing and deployment of the entrepreneurial spirit in Africa in general, and Nigeria in particular, is hearty good news for a continent bedeviled by a litany of woes and deprivation,” he said
He described the gesture as a worthy legacy that would be talked about for many generations to come. “Dr Elumelu and his team deserve our commendation for putting smiles on the faces of our people and hopefully in the not too distant future, better quality food on their table.”
